They broke the transfer records for Cantona, Ferdinand, Veron, Berbatov, Pogba & even Martial ( I think was the most paid for youngster )

This is how the argument start with them :)

United fans : You guys are overpaying and ruining the market !
City fans: & you guys have done the same for the past 20 years or more !

United fans will change the subject : But we earned our money while you inherited the money from Mansour :)
Think Di Maria was also a record?

There was always something dodgy about the deal hence the strange sell on clause about a club from Manchester. It’s like the plan was for him to always end up there.

That was Brahim Diaz. 15% Sell on, 40% to a club in Manchester

Sancho was just a straight up 15% sell on and opportunity to match any accepted bids

You’re right could have sworn that was Sancho since he was always being linked to a move to United but it was Diaz

The fact that the rags are going for the "top" winger in the market (?). While we are shopping levels below that by going for Ferran Torres. Is making me a bit uneasy, not going to lie. Especially after losing Sane.

Ferran could be value for money. But is he going to be better than Sancho? Or even similar level? I have my doubts. I just don't think we can expect to become better or reach the levels of 2017-2019. By going for the players below that "top" bracket. Especially when replacing players in that "top" bracket.

Sometimes it comes down to attitude, this same player who is "top" went awol when he could of joined the North American tour and tried to impress pep.

As for torres he could develop into a top player. Leroy was a promising winger when we signed him, far from the player who's just signed for Bayern.

Have you seen Sancho have a good game against a decent team? Me neither. Let them pay a huge fee for him, I suspect he has a bit of an attitude problem as well.
You seem to worry a lot about our potential signings? We have the best manager in the world and money to spend, that's why we always finish higher than man yoo, calm down

Torres is exactly the same profile as Sané when we signed him. Everyone in Spain knows him, he's one of their biggest prospects, he just hasn't quite exploded on the international stage yet. The best player in the age group that won the u17 and u21 Euros against Foden's age group - Englands most promising in 20+ years.

He's only going for £35m because he's got 10 months on his contract, otherwise he's a £70m player who could be worth £100m+ by the end of next season.

Don't worry about Sancho, Torres is going to be an incredible signing for us.

Who have we signed who have been in the "top" bracket at that time? Very few, if any. We always sign players with the intention to develop and improve them, hence why the first season is 'generally' spent adapting to the team and expectation levels, it's the second season they press on or drop off.

Can’t help but feel we going to regret letting United have a free run at Sancho. Is it stubbornness because he left us?
