I think that some people see him as what he might become and some just struggle to let go. My reading is that Pep wouldn't have him back at any price, and I think that's down to his character rather than his raw talent (which is beyond question).

You don't burn your house if neighbors purchase nee furniture. We won't sign everyone with potential and someone who left the way he did
 
Stumbled across a little film the other day that was about Baggio visiting his friend Guardiola in Barcelona in 2010, when Messi destroyed Arsenal. What struck me was their shared ethos about the game and how much they prized humility in players, something with which Messi was also blessed.
We only get to see the playing ability, but Guardiola is searching for so much more.
 
It's a shame really, I think he'd be a wonderful signing, he's a brilliant young player and would be great from a commercial aspect too, being an exciting English forward who can beat players for pace.

Would absolutely love to see him back here. People change, he's young and wanted to play regularly, we shouldn't hold that against him. From a football perspective it'd be a fucking disaster if he went to the shit. Not only would he improve them significantly, but the media would remind us every single time he played well what we'd 'lost' and how young players never get a chance here.
 
I really feel personally, this is a "no" from both parties.

I think the attitude side is what Pep and the management look for, we have great players who are, and act as a team should, it seems clear our transfer policy does not chase the so called "superstars" of today.

I also feel Sancho would not want to come back here, he wants to be a "big fish" in the pond, which he knows first hand would not happen at City.

I also don't care if he does go to man you, how many of our transfer targets have they snatched, that have not actually turned their world around. Pogba, Sanchez and Fred went, and they are still 16 points behind us, in our worst performing season for some time.
