....unfortunately today's youth want and get and feel entitled to anything they want!
My brother interviewed some lad a while ago, straight out of uni and was told "i won't get out of bed for less than £30k a year"
.....he looked gobsmacked when told "You can walk back out that door for fuck all"

30k really isn't a lot to start on (depending, of course, what he studied and how good he is... I start people on 42k minimum at my current employer), but he quite rightly should have been shown the door due to his lack of tact and soft-skills.

To be fair to him kids now come out of uni saddled with massive debts with relatively high interest. Personally I think it's a joke the way young people are treated in our society. We're heading the way of America where the middle class has been slowly dissolving, hence all the social tension we see in Western countries.

So it's unfair that he would earn less than someone who has and continues to fulfil the role competently?? ....while he can't until trained how to.
Please leave the massive debt stuff....most of which is caused by pissing their money against a wall 7 nights a week! Never short for that funnily enough.

And then there are Nurses and Doctors who start on less than that (with some working 45 hour weeks+) and put themselves at risk of getting Covid and save people's lives for a living. The world really is backwards.
The arrogance of the lad to even say that in an interview shows the character of him really.

There is definitely a bit of jealousy and it can be pointed out about flaunting during the pandemic.

This kind of thing is also becoming very important for certain players in building a brand etc.

It’s a lifestyle now certain people want to see as well as the player playing.

If you don’t understand this part, then rest assured your probably not the demographic they are aiming for.

No doubt it his management company who have arranged all of this and not Sancho, but he is happy to participate as he trusts their judgment and TBF looks a lot of fun.

Some players have had the brand and done very well, Beckham, Ronaldo etc. Some have lost their way Pogba.

For me posters are not without a point as this is certainly not all footballers just the supposed ‘elite’. It can result in an increased ego (players believing they are bigger then the team), personnel stats being more important then team goals, lack of focus.

All being in one team can have issues Real had it with Galacticos, but they where great players.

The issue will be when you have players like Jake Grealish considering their the next Zidane etc.

It is also something that does lead players towards certain clubs such as United, due to their higher number of global fans.

We have stayed away from these players both I imagine our choice and also a bit of there’s.

We target players who no doubt enjoy a very good lifestyle, but don’t build the brand as much. This has resulted in a greater team spirit and great results. A player like KDB is the perfect one as you could put up with all the circus for his ability, but yet he’s the model pro.

Spot on.

Sorry but the problem stems from the number of pointless university courses that lead to no proper employment when they finish. Trim down the courses available, make it so that only certain percentage are eligible (rather than what seems like everyone), and you may find people graduating with qualifications that are worthwhile, respected and will provide suitable employment and the ability to pay off their fees with ease!

Just watched Dharmesh Sheth on SKY sports talking about the Sancho saga. Maybe being cynical but I got the impression that he was telling Utd what to do to get the deal back on track. Taking the line that in order for Zork to save face there needs to be an offer from Utd then Sancho needs to agitate for a move. Very sly and would fit with the media desperation to get him to Utd now Dortmund have said he is staying.

Not sure he'll be arsed agitating to come 6th next season, under Norsk Machin tbh, when the likelihood is that better teams will come in for him, once things calm down.

To be fair I used to say shit like that when I was in university, then I went into the real world and realised that I’d have to work in a call centre on minimum wage for a couple of years whilst I actually studied for qualifications that would make me proper money.

I’m sure that realisation hits thousands of graduates every year.

You may be right but unfortunately the present Government will spin this so that only those from privileged and privately educated backgrounds go to University - ending all dreams of social mobility.
