I believe the stories about Pep clause , Rodgers and Pochettino as replacements are true but old news things have changed
I believe Pep answered the clause question truthfully, he DID have a clause but it has expired the journalist asked DO you have a clause, the clause in his contract was probably the reason we were looking at Rodgers and Pochettino as his replacement.
True stories but old news so why did the media report them either side of the klopp news? Like I said it's like someone asked them to
So do you think a player (or his agent) will be put off signing because of an item in a 'newspaper', or do you think they're more likely to ask the club during negotiations?

I don't care what he said, but what is on the paper. He said once that Stones has big balls. Players thinking about signing and giving an importance of being managed by Pep, won't care about what he said at some random pressie, they will look what is on the paper or some strong, strong assurance that he is staying longer.

Utter bull.

Don't know, depends on the player,
Sterling and KDB signed for Pep even though he wasn't our manager at the time, mbappe turned us down but not Pep

It comes from year and half of his contract left and the history that says he wasn't staying longer than that anywhere. Any player with that amount of time left on his contract is being talked about, so Pep will certainly be too.
Yes. This. I just can't figure out why people are speculating over the best manager in the world's future when he's about to go into the final year of his deal!

So players don’t sign for clubs now it’s managers?!

They sign for clubs and we'll certainly sign players when Pep leaves, just as we were signing them before he came. But players will often want to know about the future of the project they are potentially signing for and it would be naive to not think that Pep was very good selling point when we were approaching players in last few years. Pep can definitely be the difference between getting or not getting some player. There are other big clubs beside us, that are paying very well and sometimes a great manager as him is that little step that can push some top player to sign. Let's not kid ourselves that we are still at level of Barcelona or Madrid, if they want same player as we do, Pep might be a huge thing to help us in that transfer business.

If you would changing your job, you'd want to know about future prospect of the company, so players will certainly want to know it too.

“Project” seems a word a lot of clubs use now never was around years ago! Would liked to listen the talks the rags did to Maguire! We have good old ole at the wheel he is going to be massive oh here’s 300k a weeek! Done deal. The manager is a small part of a player and if they move! We had Hughes we signs Robinho bet he didn’t ask about who the manager is! We had Mancini won nowt signed haha Silva Aguero who at the time was a massive signing! Its all about how much we pay a player.

But we are not offering 300k a week for Maguires. And we were offering quite a lot to Robinhos at that time. When we are signing players these days, we offer fairly moderate wages at the beginning, so if someone wants to blow us out of the water, like Rags did with Maguire, Sanchez or Fred, they usually do. So, yes, at the start we are offering a project. And it helps when Pep is part of it. I doubt we'd sign many Robinhos with Hughes in the charge and start money we are offering today.

Can see where you coming from but people make to much out of a player will want to know if Pep be staying.
