Sancho alone will cost that given the hysteria surrounding him.

And as for Haaland, well I’m old enough to remember Tony Adcock who scored consecutive hat tricks for City within 5 days.

let’s wait a while to see how good the newest wunderkid is.
 
Too late judging by how we are positioning ourselves in the media. We never win bidding wars against other clubs to be honest. For some reason we are only able sign players where we are the sole team interested.

Maybe this season will show the board that we need to sometimes for thevright player.

Absolutely no point buying second or third best when you have the money we have, otherwise we'll never have seasons again like the last two.

We really need to be trying to sign at least one or two of either Sancho, Haaland or Maddison in summer, plus an absolute beast of a centre back.

What absolute nonsense, you can't honestly believe that we are the only people who knew about De Bruyne, Sane, both Silva's, Aguero etc.

All of those players were low on the radar for most teams. You can’t honestly believe that we managed to sign players that other clubs were interested in when the evidence points to the contrary. Hazard, Sanchez (twice), De Jong, VVD, Jorginho, Felix, Mbappe, Alves and the list goes on. Whether it is better for us or not we don’t get involved in transfer sagas with multiple clubs, and even when we do we don’t end up signing the player. Hence why I can’t see Sancho back here.

Some of them we were. It's pretty well known KDB was between us and PSG, Aguero famously wanted to go to Madrid, and was destined for Madrid until he and Perez said something to piss off Atletico's president and then Cook came in and offered Atleti an option that didn't involve him going to their rivals.

I believe it's been said publicly that everyone passed on David Silva because he was so small?
