Jadon Sancho

I think I'd take the embarrassment of having to break the bank tbh.

And just a reminder that he will become club trained if we sign him this summer (hard to exaggerate how valuable that is), and because we have a 20% sell on and a matching clause, we basically get to sign him at a 20% discount.

United/Chelsea/whoever offer £100m and we can get him for £80m. Dortmund can't play us off another club in a bidding war.

You'd hope we're the most attractive proposition, but he could easily fit in at Madrid, Barcelona, Madrid, Juventus or Munich. Chelsea & United would pay big money for him. 1 more season of those numbers and he's easily going to be one of the most wanted players in the world.

We're a team where Sane became 4th choice winger. Mahrez, a former POTS, took a year to get consistent game time. Given that, and the fact he chose to leave, I don't know if he'd come back. I hope so, he's genuinely on track to become something very special.

And without turning this into a Sane conversation (it may not be financial, he may have always wanted to go back to Munich), but how much would we offer in wages? If it's too low, would he come? If it's too much, the wage structure has gone.

The wages will be a long way north of 200k/week, but that's what we pay Mahrez and it's what we'd have to give Sané to stay anyway so don't think it matters, it's just the going rate.

Sane out Sancho in.

This kid has that elite mentality Sane is missing.

Sancho may be a bit arrogant but so what, he’s only 19. Can you blame him, he’s one of the best youngsters in the world, and he’ll mature.

We must pay the £100m, leave the supposed principles at the door.

You are talking getting at least six years service out of him before he hits his peak and he could be sold for an even bigger premium.

I am fearful that United need a shirt seller and when Pogba and Sanchez leave this summer, could offer him absolutely insane wages.

Thankfully, they are shit and Sancho can't be that dumb.

Ironically, selling Sane for anywhere close to £100m actually helps us. It sets a market rate for someone comparable, so Dortmund won't be able to take the piss too much on price, especially with a 20 per cent sell on clause.

To have both England wingers would be immense for our profile.

Sancho would surely be able to see there is a hole ready for him to fill.

Chelsea would be the main rival.

Can't have a go at someone who backed himself, even if he could have gone about it better.

He is a kid who has done a lot of growing up.

Raheem is a huge idol for him, so we would have a shot, but Pep has to play his part.

The question is would Sancho be willing to return to City or has he (or his agent) burned all his bridges at the club? I don't think he is likely to return even though the club will try to.

Do you think we will be in for him?

Sancho has never once had a pop at City or Pep since he left.

I'm certain he's been given ample opportunity by both the German media and England press pack.

I know he speaks to Raheem and Foden quite regularly.

His dad is certainly onside with City. The only question would be if we are interested.

If we're not, why not?

I don't want any self-satisfied, holistic, unknown capture.

I want lights, cameras, action.

I want City to become the hunter rather than the hunted.
