He's a very good player. Good feet, quick and intelligent. But, I don't see anything in him that we have not already got and I don't think he's what we need.

I've had that with a few players everyone loves Leao, Onana, Lautaro Martinez... like Musiala but still think he's a probably better fit as a winger here than an 10 with Phil.

I prefer Wirtz but would love either of them. Doesn't seem like our style of signing in recent years though, bar Haaland.

Don't get me started on Lautaro Martinez. The trouble is that people see one good game and think it's the norm. Any player needs to be watched over time against different opponents in different situations and once a big fee has been paid you're stuck with them. It's easy to choose player X and a few weeks later choose player Y. Doesn't work like that in the real world.
May I suggest that members on here look back through the players who would improve us thread and look at some of the rubbish suggested.
