He's English too, Leicester might be going down, but many clubs will probably go for him.

Him and Bellingham might be the best midfield duo signing we can make to replace Bernie and Gundogan.

Not going to issue judgement on a player who has only managed 391 minutes of football for us, not just yet. If the club does decide to shift on him, which would be unusual, then they’ll do so this summer, but even if he stays, we still might not see the best of him until 24-25.

Yep.. I will judge Phillips this time next season as with every Pep signing the second season is the benchmark.

Can't understand the dislike for him on here. Easily talented enough, broke our press time and again and picked some perfect passes. If KDB's out for us we don't have an able replacement that slots those passes and I reckon Maddison could be exactly that. Super KDB is not getting any younger either. Its only opinions but I'd have him in a heartbeat. He certainly won't be playing for Leicester in the Championship if they go down. For the right price it would be a deal we could do.

Agree 100%. I do believe that given an opportunity both Phil and Jack could be lethal in picking those type of passes as well.

He is a very good player. but I don't know why we need him when we have KDB in that position. and also we need to give game time to Alvarez to play in KDB's position to make him happy. so why the fuck should we make maddison as a signing when we need different type of midfielders as a priority.

Don't see how signing Maddison impacts minutes for Alvarez personally.

Alvarez is the closest thing to KDB in our squad. maybe the data will show he has come on for KDB as a sub as much as he has for Haaland. Alvarez has the passing range that KDB has and takes up the same spots as KDB. we need to give him as much time on the pitch if we want him to stay.

I don’t think he does; Alverez is already excelling as the utility player pep loves, much like Bernardo… it will be a season or 2 before we see his best position imo; however, Maddison doesn’t infringe on that…

He’d be a very good signing but I’m finding these ones are restricted not by talent but players around them when used; Phillips et al keep getting minutes when the big players have been subbed and the team is diluted, nature or the beast I guess…. Maddison may flourish but it’s packing for me, the downgrade from silva and gundo would stand out a mile!
