Now facing a season in the Championship for the final year of his Leicester contract. In those circumstances, there must be a chance of a cut-price deal.

If he's prepared to be Kev's backup we could do a lot worse.

Not quite good enough from a football perspective, and very much not good enough from a character per. It’s 2 big no’s from me. Penultimate game of the season in a must win match and he didn’t even start, for Leicester

No chance he stays, he was too good for Leicester as it was never mind in the second tier of English football.

Newcastle written all over it, he should’ve pushed it through last Summer. The fact he didn’t, and showed some respect to Leicester, shows his character is fine.

I’d have him if he’s comfortable being a back up to Kev, he’s fantastic but he’s also too good to be a back up.

I don't get the point with character. Maddison has always struck me as much more intelligent and articulate than the average footballer when interviewed. He also didn't down tools playing in a dreadful team where most of his teammates gave up, even though he was blocked a transfer in the Summer.

I don't want him particularly either but don't know where you get the mentality concerns from.

Agreed, how would anyone know his mindset, as for not starting, no one knows what happened behind the scenes. He could have been injured/ had a slight knock.

I don’t know if it’s true but he has the rep of being a Billy Big Bollocks.

As a player I think he is a very good fit for us.

I said character not mentality. However given he has natural ability and his manager didn’t even start him as Leicester’s best player in a must win game tells it all
