Pep watched Palmer every day in training..

Mate, if Pep said the pitch is purple, some would agree and argue that he was right until the cows come home, he and they can never be wrong its fucking sad but there you go. The rest of us (in the real World) make mistakes.

We're really not.

Where are they going then? into the team?

Looks like even McAtee isn't immune from the profit chop.

According to Transfermarkt's own information, Man City have made €432.8 million from transfer fees received for players that played for at least one of the club's youth teams since 2014. In total, that works out at 51 transfers over the course of the last 10 seasons, averaging out at around €7.8m per departure.

Got to be honest, I’ve never really been that impressed by him in the 1st team games I’ve seen him play. When he came on for foden against feyernoord at home we capitulated, I’m not saying he was solely to blame of course, but he got booked and didn’t offer any security or composure and we were cruising 3-0 when he came on against a far poorer standard of team than the prem offers.

To me he looks like he doesn’t believe he should be there. Like imposter syndrome. Maybe that’s a confidence thing, But he’s been great in the lower age brackets and he’s outscored someone like Grealish! In the prem this season Who is a supposed to be a £100 million player! It’s really weird.

Because he’s a blue and young I’d keep him, and obviously has talent as seen in lower ages maybe he’s going to be a late developer in terms of his confidence as he gets older, as he plays more games. He strikes me as a shy lad and maybe he’s just got to believe that he deserves to be with the big boys.

not sure we'll get more than £25m for him. We hold out for more and we'll probably end up giving him on a loan deal or keeping him, which im not averse to but theres a lot of competition ahead of him.

Take the £25m and try to incorporate a good buyback.

That's what I'm saying. I've seen some of the valuations from people on here and I don't know how they're getting those figures.

We ignored him for the vast majority of a season when our midfield was absolute wank and our wingers couldn't convert chances. Now we want Palmer money for him?

I've not read up on what the offer from Forest was but I wouldn't expect much more than what they've already bid, as long as there's a buyback clause or something similar in there.

Yeah, I understood, I was saying “be realistic, everyone”.

The response of a mardarse. Similar to how my 6 year old responds when he has no counter to something. Pep makes mistakes.

No, im not his mummy, which bit is bollocks?

Ah, the lie your mate has come up with about him, dickhead, he needs to be careful as well, as his Family have seen what he posted Yesterday, bit stupid of him tbh.
You may not be his mummy then but you're definitely a fanny.

Ideal situation would be a new contract and a good loan, I do believe he has the talent to play here, he just needs to find that next gear. At the minute he plays a bit too safe, seems happy to be a part of the machine when a player like him should be demanding the ball constantly and looking to be the man to make a difference. Its the same thing Foden suffers from too imo.

If hes decided he wants to go then our hands are tied, should have never let him get to a year left on his contract. Anything less than £40m even with a year remaining is poor business when you look at the market.

He'll never be good enough to be a regular starter in that team

He is not that young….23 in a couple of months. He also had a full season in the prem with sheff united(granted they were poor) but he didnt pull up any trees there. He didnt get a huge amount of chances last year but the ones he did get he didnt take with any sort of conviction. Quite anonymous in them esp the prem games(did better in the cup games).

He only has a year left on his contract and its time to move on. I dont believe he was ever as highly rated as Palmer or Foden in the youth team(no shame in that) so i think somewhere between 25-30m(inclusive of add ons) sees this done.

I dont see Forest as a particularly good move for him, they are a strong fit side who rely on aggression and Strenght neither of which are James’s strong points. He would be way better with a Brighton or similar.
