Don't see us ever using that buyback but including it probably only cost us another £5m.

They have been a successful counter-attacking team under Nuno.
They are expected to exploit rapid breaks using pace e.g. as with Elanga last season.
Cannot see JM being a workhorse as Forest's midfield are expected to be, hunting down the ball.
Hope I'm wrong as really like Macca, but think he will have to adapt his game and improve his fitness and work rate with Forest...

Maybe, who knows. Trust the club on that. But think we will end up getting around 30m and the right sell-ons and buy-backs on top. And rightly so.

I'm ok with the wait. He doesn't take up one of the 21 squad spaces, selling him doesn't help our current issues in any way. He is a capable body to have around and on low wages. Not much to lose by either keeping him or holding out for a higher fee.

Just can't see it somehow. He's always flattered to deceive, and never seems toimpose himself in games. Not to the level Pep would demand. And yes; I can see the potential "what about Palmer" argument (not saying that you will go down that route, by the way). But do we keep hold of him on the strength of what another player has gone on to achieve at another club? There's no guarantee he'll do the same. Also, he's near the back of a pretty long queue to get a midfield spot. If/when he does move on, I wish him well.

Agree with this. Good luck to him, but I can see him on their bench in a month or two.

He also had a big chance to shine at Sheffield United but ended up on the bench. He’s not a kid anymore

Well, he couldn't get minutes from Pep last year when we were “shit” and had injuries right, left and centre (especially in midfield). With the additions we've made, there was no way he was going to get more minutes, probably less. This is a fair deal, all round. A fair price, I think, given what he's shown so far. And good for the lad. I still think we're letting a goodish player go. Just not City good. Not that level.
Like others, I'm slightly worried (for him) about him fitting in at Forest. I saw very little evidence that the type of football he plays is the type they play (or played last season). I don't quite see him lumping long balls up to Chris Wood, somehow. Well, perhaps he can change. Or they can.
