He's done OK. Finally got a few touches and demanded the ball more after Sunderland went down to ten men - which was thanks to his clever pressing.
However, he was too passive in the first 30 mins, probably due to nerves and Sunderland edging the game at the point.
It'll definitely be a good test for him and he'll need to improve his fitness and strength if he wants to start the majority of games.
It worked for the likes of Mason Mount but he was a guaranteed starter with Frank looking after him at Derby.
