James McAtee

Unless they get some major investment and Ndiaye and Berge stick around he’d be a fool to go back to Sheffield Utd. I could easily see them losing most weeks and only getting 30% possession so I’m not sure what he’d learn from that

I thought this past season would be a write off for him,but he adapted and grew,so i'm not convinced......but yes,on the face of it....Burnley would look to be a better option.

There is also the not to be underestimated emotional attachment he has clearly built up.

At least as someone who prefers Wednesday i can remove Sheff Utd from my flash scores favourite teams!

Good point but that is something that should be tempered. Always thought Patrick Roberts allowed his heart to overrule his head when he returned to Celtic, for a year of the same, and it all went spectacularly wrong.

The Scottish league is very rarely a good choice, mostly a place for underachievers and end of lifers.
I think if he can get regular football in a Prem side, regardless of who they are.....then thats a good move at this stage.

Depends, thats the side of his game thats needed the work. We know hes a star on the ball even before he left on this loan. He's added some steel already, could be the making of a complete mid.

I hope he continue his loan

Let him another full season in the PL, then he can take Gundogan spot in the middle.

It would be great to keep him with City next season, he's definitely got the potential to do a job for us. But at 20 it also wouldn't be the worst thing to see him loaned out again for a year, as long as it was at prem level and we were confident he'd get more minutes.

He might take the pre season by the scruff and force his way into the squad. It's up to him.
