But if I was him, the second I heard Leicester was there and solid Madison, but kept many others, I'd have thought:
"Perfect, I can play the 10 role now in a former premier league team, I can dominate the championship and show my quality".
Don't know how he can show his quality at Sheffield.
This years Leicester is last years Sheffield United.Gonna disagree with the majority here.
Not sure playing in a team that chases shadows the whole time is the best use of his "development time".
Leicester was by far the smarter choice.
At least he will be playing against premier level opposition
The 3 teams that came up this season highlight the poor standard of opposition currently in the championship.

James is not going to benefit from playing with this lot. Just watched the Newcastle game and Sheff U were absolutely appauling. 8-0 at home to a just above average team is shocking.

Heaviest League defeat in their history. Quite chastening. We could recall him come the windowI suppose, but by that stage our injury list will have shortened, we might be out of the League Cup, and Guardiola will be working with his preferred nucleus. Wonder how many minutes he would have played by now had he stayed.

For the first 20 minutes he was arguably the best player on the pitch and Carragher was suitably impressed.
Sadly, he just couldn't get into the game once they started conceding silly goals. However, he's definitely Premier League potential.

We were talking about him at the game yesterday, and difference between him and the likes of Doku, Doku knows when to do the right thing to keep the ball, you can probably teach that, but I think he's a long way from that currently. Phil had it from early doors, Palmer too, but it's rare in young players.Oh yeah I'm not disagreeing
