James McAtee

All I hope is to see him in the future wearing the sky blue of City. Don’t care how he gets there but I’ll die on the hill that McAtee hopefully will have a future at the club
 
Not many no10’s these days though, and he’s not a box to box midfielder to play 8, hasn’t got the engine.
I think championship or abroad where there’s more no10’s would be my guess at where he’s ends up, which there’s nothing wrong with as that’s a top career.

Yes hopefully he does. Tough world though football, there’s absolutely no guarantees. You can be a big name in youth football at 17-21 but fizzle out within days by time you’re 22.

Oh look, it’s the bloke who only ever posts negative stuff about academy players. McAtee played as a box to box midfielder against Rotherham and was very good, constantly picking the ball up on the edge of his own box and driving forward with it. And he worked his arse off for the entire 90 minutes.

His game is very similar to Gundogan's,so i have no idea where you get the idea he cant play anything other than a 10.
 
he could be a great prospect. but without good coaching he will never realize his full potential. he is not some great individual talent. he needs a team playing around his strengths like sancho. lets see where he chooses to go.

There’s some incredibly bad takes in this thread. McAtee is a fantastic individual talent, I'd say he's one of the top 5 most talented teenagers in the country.

We got him because United were absolute shite. They had his brother and released him and only then when he went to a new club did his father realise how badly coached he had been and couldn’t have James going through the same. Nothing to do with form for moving.

Bit if an overreaction mate, sun sport have only said other clubs are interested in England’s best talent. Not like he’s already refused everything and went to join united

absolutely not. what is his individual talent. does he dribble like messi? has pace like raheem? is he a physical beast? no to all that. his game relies on passing. he needs a good coach to develop him and set up the team to play the correct passing game.

His game relies on passing haha go back to bed mate. Do you realise how intelligent you have to be to play at Man City, even at u18 level? Your touch, receiving, movement, technique all has to be on point. These type of players like mcatee make difficult plays look simple.

again that makes no sense. you make no points to contradict me. he has no individual skills on his own to make a difference. he needs a good coach and system to stand out. put him in a burnley side and see what difference mcatee makes. he is not like KDB or Foden who can stand out in any team
