I know a lot of people on this site are going a bit over the top about Bale and that we should bid for him. I think the way McClean has done at Sunderland since he got into the team he has been brilliant. Quick and strong and decent cross into the box also he has popped up with a few goals. I wouldnt mind seeing Mancini getting him and seeing how good he can be for us. 1 thing thats certain is MON has a great record of getting the best out of his wingers. If we were to sign another winger I wouldnt be disapointed if we got McClean in compared to other wingers out there he would be a cheaper option and would be able to kick on at this club into a all round better player.
Out of the young players in the league he seems to me to be heads and shoulders ahead of whats out there in his role for his team and it wouldnt shock me if he were to win the Young Player of the Year this season.

This is bullocks. Watch sunderland more mate. He is critical to alot of what they do. When he and sessegnon dont play well sunderland lose.

sessegnon is very good! but McClean is as inconsistent as AJ you just don't notice his poor passing and crossing as much because the game is more open and its Sunderland (no offence).
 
I wouldnt say AJ is better than McClean. AJ hasnt gone on to the next level. When he first came to the club he done well but since then he hasnt progressed on. McClean will only get stronger the more he plays the better he is. He is more direct than AJ which for a winger in my view is the better option. No point in beating a player 3 or 4 times and then failing to deliver a ball into the box. McClean will beat a player and look to get the ball into the box. To be honest I cant see him staying with Sunderland if he keeps progressing the way he is and in my view he will move to a bigger club within 2 years at a big price too.
 
Am I the only one who see him as a dirty, diving, whiny **** whose looks resemble a certain Wayne Rooney?
 
He's ok and thats it.

People going over the top because o'Neill brought him in to the team (although Bruce bought him) and he's scored a couple. There are better players in the league at teams of that level ie Etherington. Once the hype dies down he will just be decent.
 
All this Irish shit is a joke. Watch him play he is a decent young player who if he keeps progressing the way he has been so far he will move onto a bigger and better team than Sunderland. Nationality have fuck all to do with it. I dont know why people bring it up. I expect you dont bring it up to the Welsh blues who want Bale at the club. Put it this way McClean may be Irish but none on the board can doubt how well he has done since he made his break into the Sunderland team.
