James McClean

This is what will inevitably happen. Not while he's still playing, too much publicity. But give it a while after he hangs his boots up and somebody somewhere is going to take him out. You cannot be a complete anal cavity your whole life without karma making an unexpected visit now and again.

This man has made a habit of being offensive his entire life, so it will come as no surprise (from me, at least) when he takes a serious beating somewhere down the line.

There's a good chance of that I'm sure mate, when you consider he was probably only 7 or 8 when 'The Good Friday Agreement' was signed though, you have to ask yourself what was his understanding of it all at that age, maybe there was a certain 'romance' to it all for him as a child where he grew up, the 'Freedom Fighter' mindset, so never fully understood the implications, and still hasn't, one that he's likely never revisited as an adult, if he has, and still come to the same conclusion, then there is no hope.

For me, despite all the animosity, heartache, bitterness, sorrow and feelings of betrayal, it still remains one of most important, groundbreaking and life changing events in my lifetime, and I hope it never ever returns.

When you understand just how deep sectarianism runs throughout Ireland/N.Ireland (and Scotland with Celtic & Rangers fans), then this is not just a 'joke'. It rakes up hatred and violence that goes back hundreds of years, and irresponsible doesn't even begin to describe his actions. His club should sack him on the spot for this, and he should at least be investigated by the police to ascertain if he has broken the law.

You want him sacked!?

Good grief.

And I hate the ****.

When you consider Bernardo got an FA suspension for tweeting a joke about a friend, this is many times worse. If I were his chairman or manager, I wouldn't want anything more to do with him.

Yeah and Bernado’s punishment was ridiculous, too wrongs don’t make a right.

McClean said he was teaching his kids history and was doing the balaclava as a joke.

Sacking him is well too far.

No just thought it odd that is all, what do you think?

I think he thought people would find it funny and probably shouldn’t have done it but I don’t think he meant it as anything more than a joke.

I still hate the fucker.
