Milner had a great game. I sang "Milner, we need a song for you!" a few times as I thought his play deserved a blast of his name from the fans.

Also thought AJohnson was very good, Agger couldn't handle him and all he could do was foul him and see his arse every 5minutes. Barry was top. Hart was top. Kompany was unreal "Vincent, you're my hero!" left my mouth last night, like a 7 year old kid, haha!

I thought Yaya was only okay tho. Some nice passes but the biggest man on the pitch didn't win any 50-50 headers all night and at times he was a bit lazy when Liverpool had the ball. But I'm just picking holes there, he wasn't that bad really, I just maybe would have preferred Silva in that role of the more advanced midfielder because Yaya certainly wasn't a holding player.

Come on!!!! He's proven in weaker teams, imagine what he can do with the quality around him now? He and AJ, (AJ especially), are going to be the making of our team. Potentially we have 3 England first teamers for the next 8-15 years, 4 if Barry still gets in.

I would throw Richards in as well now Johnson has soent the last 6 months showing why Chelsea didnt want him

Maybe, but he has a lot to do and I suspect he'll be benched when Boateng is fit. We also have SWP and Lescott, another 2 potential squad members. Its all good.
As for Johnno though, ironic isn't it everyone, (including us), look abroad for chepaer alternatives! Robinho was £32m, Johnno £6m?!!!!

Can't praise Milner enough for his performance last night, he exceeded my expectations hugely. I knew we'd get a lot of energy and drive from him but I was shocked by how comfortable he was on the ball. I didn't expect him to be able to play some of the one touch stuff he did and his decision making, as displayed with the cross he picked for the 1st goal, was spot on. Well done James, infact well done to every one of them, it was a pleasure to watch.
