Had a very poor run for us, think tbh that he is suffering from not having a settled run in the centre. Playing him wide left most of season seems to have destroyed his confidence.

Sure he will improve though so let's not write him off yet.

What do you expect from him in the centre? He has average pace, no creative ability and isnt a ball winner. What does playing him in the centre achieve?

He's a box to box midfielder..............he is creative when given the chance and he is also a ball winner, so i disagree on those points?

I agree about his lack of pace but if you look at the likes of Scholes, pace is not always needed when playing that role.

but wait
Milner showed talent in sprinting and long-distance running. He played for was the cross-country champion at his school for three consecutive years and was the district champion over 100 metres for two years in a row.

What's that the Sloth District?

I think Milner needs a good run in the team before we can appreciate what he can do. He's one of the most versatile members of the squad and his professionalism is top notch. I thought he might take Yaya Toure's place in a 3 man midfield yesterday but Mancini had other players to involve.

Give him time.
