James Milner

And why the fuck would we be his primary concern?? It's his life and career, why wouldn't he choose the option of about £6m in signing on fees that benefits him, as opposed to signing an extension so City could get £6m and he can have a little clap off the extra few mard-arses, who claim they wouldn't do the same if they found themselves in the same situation, at a club they don't support.

You think that way, and I think mine.

He wanted to move to play central midfield ( his claim ), and now he is playing anywhere but cm .

He wanted to play more games, well that bit has come true, although it is down to the quality of the players around him.

He could have been honest with City , but he chose to string it out until the death, and then move without a goodbye, kiss my arse, or whatever .

You are right though, he didn't care about the " little clap off the extra few mard-arses ".............................A bit like I don't about your opinion !

Fucking brilliant player and so underrated I honestly can't believe some on here,
Think most of our most impressive performances came with him in the starting 11
Bossed us twice now this season

Calling James Milner a fucking brilliant player is one of the most OTT comments I have ever read on Bluemoon, and that's really saying something.

Milner is a good professional, who looked better in our team than he is because he was surrounded by teammates who are of a much higher quality than he is.

Don't get me wrong, I liked Jimmy when he was at City; he always put in a shift and was more than competent in several positions, but he is now playing at the level his ability is suited to.

I hope he enjoys his trip to the swamp on 17th March and that his side progresses to the last eight.

When we sign English players who are already established internationals, we should anticipate them seeing out their contracts (cf. Barry, Lescott, Milner). Such players do not have the ability or desire to test themselves elsewhere in Europe, so a move to an other English club is their only option, arguably always a downward one. We shouldn't be bitter about their doing that, after all each of the aforementioned performed adequately whilst with us, but it is something we should acknowledge.

That your opinion, I would say having played a major role in 2 PL titles an FA cup a CC cup and 2 wins away at United that might be his level

He has also been to 2 cup finals with teams you say are his level Villa & Liverpool so he might have had something to do with that as well

You say he looked better as he was surrounded by better players at City, then why did he look good playing with lesser players and against these better players on Wednesday ?

He makes runs into places that hurts teams he passes the ball into space that hurts teams and he's a winner

The he's just a worker shit on here is laughable for me almost the cliche " can they do it at a rainy night in Stoke "

If this was his level, he'd still be here, or he'd have moved to a team on par with ours.

The fact he's taken a step down (for money) shows where his priorities are.

He was good player for us, and would have been a useful member this season. I'm not one who buys into this not celebrating goals against your ex teams. He's moved on, and I really couldn't care less what happens to him now. Hopefully he helps Liverpool beat the Filth in the Europa League, but that's all.
