How do you know that he didn't tell Begiristain what his plans were months before but didn't publically announce it until late on?You think that way, and I think mine.
He wanted to move to play central midfield ( his claim ), and now he is playing anywhere but cm .
He wanted to play more games, well that bit has come true, although it is down to the quality of the players around him.
He could have been honest with City , but he chose to string it out until the death, and then move without a goodbye, kiss my arse, or whatever .
You are right though, he didn't care about the " little clap off the extra few mard-arses ".............................A bit like I don't about your opinion !
I think many,myself included,believe he did owe us something.....a bit of respect.....and not the devious methods he demonstrated while lining up his pay day.Don't understand the angst from some posters. He was an average player who made a rational career decision to move on. He didn't owe us and we didn't owe him.
