James Milner

No, I think it was the way that Milner didn't come out and say that he wasn't signing a new contract without all the bullshit of letting the club think that negotiations might have been fruitful. Pep made it clear to Bayern that he wasn't gonna sign a new contract and I think that City fans would have understood better, and Milner would have left in a better light had he done the same.
He's under no obligation to say what he's doing, not to the public anyway. He may well have told the powers that be what his intentions were.
As has already been said, he could've done a KDB or Delph snd said he was staying, then fucked off anyway. He would warrant abuse then but from what I can see all he's done is celebrate a goal against his former employers, who coming from Leeds and not Manchester he probably couldn't give two hoots about, and not tell us as fans of that club what he planned to do whilst still here.

Have some of our fans become that precious?

He's under no obligation, but I'd have more respect for him if he was honest about it.

As for the celebration, I'm not too fussed although it is odd that he refused to celebrate against Villa. Perhaps his failure to play a bigger role with us has left him with some bad feelings. Thats his issue I guess.

Do you have respect for KDB and Delph for how they left their former clubs?

I couldn't give a shite about him going or what happened. The goal celebration though wasn't needed, even Sturridge didn't celebrate us and he gets (without foundation) dogs abuse! He scored against Villa for us, a fantastic goal actually spread the ball 50 odd yards ran up the pitch and smashed one in the top corner. No celebration then, he respected Villa the same way he should of respected us and the fans that before now had been nothing but gracious towards him.

Maybe he has more of an affinity with the employers that were Aston Villa than he did with the employers that were City? Maybe he liked Villa more as a club as a kid? Maybe shit happened behind the scenes that we don't know about and he does have a beef?

Not particularly. I'll leave that for Wolfsburg and Villa fans to judge.
I think they have more reason to have a problem with their respective former player than some of our fans seem to have with Milner.
Just seems that because Milner hasn't come out and lauded all things City he is now the target of some rather unnecessary abuse, seeing how he assisted hugely to the clubs recent success.

In regard to the former especially.....in a very financially healthy position you mean?
No I meant in how they told their former clubs, and fans of those clubs, they were staying and then went onto move anyway. Delph's in particular was pretty shit from his point of view towards his then club and fans. I'm raising it as Milner is being hated on for not saying either way what his intentions were, whereas KDB and Delph did, then went back on their words.

KDB was always going to move,it was simply his club posturing, their fans were under no illusions.Delph signed a new contract only months earlier that ensure his club would receive a transfer fee,his only 'crime' was recognising a once in a lifetime opportunity.
