James Milner

Jimmy is a rare bird like Zabba
He can play anywhere and showed this today - his ball control was supreme and the way he made Schuurle look so foolish on the left wing was a joy to watch.

Thought Milner was ace today, and hopefully will get some more game time. However Id prefer to play him and Nasri and drop YaYa, or even Jimmy and Super Frank
 
Nasri can gather splinters on his arse from the bench from now on as far as I'm concerned. Milner has always worked harder and shown more commitment when he plays for us than Nasri ever has. Nasri may be the more talented footballer but I would much rather have Milner running his bollocks off all game, closing them down, getting forward putting in crosses than Nasri jogging round the pitch afraid to get stuck in and maybe have the odd good game.
 
If he continues playing like he did I'm going to start referring to him as Hames :) ...fits the level of skill and flair he showed (along with his usual bout of athleticism and doggedness of course)!!
 
The fact that he's turned down a contract and gone about his business like this just makes me respect him even more, he's the polar opposite to Nasri. I hope he gets 30-35 games this season and signs a new contract.
 
I hope Pellers gives him more playing time and he decides to sign a new contract. He links well with Silva and plays both side s of the ball. When we play Silva, Navas and/or Nasri along with Yaya we are lightweight defensively. Milner helps us be more balanced.
