James Milner

Always a big game player for us, today was no exception. Excellent today, only behind the Mangala/Kompany brick wall in my MOTM stakes.

Its good for him and team that hes hit the form..I am sure he will be very happy if he starts alternate games and i have feeling he will sign contract extension if he gets starts in such big games

Brilliant performance.

Another English player that's gets undeserved stick.

From who?

Fans that don't support Man City basically, just have to look on the general forum and read the Danny Welbeck page to see that if they don't play for your club our English players get a ton of abuse.

Milner, Welbeck, Wilshere etc get never ending stick unless they play for your team. It's unfair.
Same could be said when Barry was here as well.

Love him...always works hard and gives his 100% every game.Today he was motm by a long distance..good job james..:)

I absolutely love James Milner! He's probably my second favourite player behind Kun.

In the last week he's played left wing for a half, centre mid for two halves, right wing for an hour, right back for five minutes and left back for twenty minutes and he's been one of the best playerd on the pitch at every point in every position against arguably three of the top ten sides in Europe!

MOTM by a mile in my eyes today.

What a fucking player!

about time jimmy got a run in the side , sensational today , vastly underrated team player , and to think jordan henderson and poison dwarf wilshere , get in the england side before him.

Once again Jimmy comes up trumps in a big match. People talk about his work ethic (which is second to none), but truth is we look a far more creative team when he is on. Look at Bayern and Liverpool last year. Today was no different. His fingerprints were all over our equalizer and his movement throughout the whole game was outstanding.

Milners stats for this game are crazy; 97% pass completion.104 touches.4 successful dribbles. 6 tackles.1 assist. He played RM, RB & LM

knicked this from another thread, swell as hard work, he is creative and very good technically as shown with the lay off for lampard, should be in the first team now

For example:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/england/11074358/The-demise-of-James-Milner-summed-up-by-England-midfielders-shocking-cross-field-pass.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... -pass.html</a>

That's a bad example.

Its detrimental agreed, however the criticism is aimed at the club rather than the individual,as it blames his performance on the lack of game time he has amassed.

As for other forums,Mark may be correct but I wouldn't know as I don't frequent them.

Deserves a post on that performance, absolutely immense and so versatile. I actually thought he played better at left mid than right, but thought his stronger foot was his right??.....anyway, brilliant from him today and sincerely hope he ties down a regular start in this side.

Have to say that when I saw the line up thought it was our best balanced and strongest side, please start with this every game MP......... ta

Wow. I'd be embarrassed if I was paid to write and produced that vitriol.

Excellent today and so far this season but Pellegrini has to reward that now. He should start against Hull and Roma and Nasri can earn his way back with a game against Sheff Wed.

Currently Milner > Nasri and therefore deserves to be playing.

Specially when a big pair of balls is required. Pellers was 100% right to choose him over Nasri today.
