Essential listening from 10pm to 1am Monday to Friday early 80's to mid 90's
Alan Beswick was another, had a late night show on red rose radio for a while creatively called Argue with Alan.
Rang Beswick a few times. Mainly about football hooliganism and the Merseyside - Manchester rivalry.
I remember the first time I heard him while fiddling around the dial in summer 1985, I'd never heard anyone on the radio talk to callers like that before. It was a bit of a thrill.
He used to ban scousers for their persistent swearing.
