It's just an incredibly dumb thing to try and make a joke about.

I know every tv studio is desperate for "banter" to try and go viral on social, but he's a grown man in his 40s who thought joking about her cheating on her partner on national TV was a good idea.

It's beyond stupid. I'm not claiming he needs to be fired, but if they quietly move him on, then so be it.

It didn't come across to me as a joke about infidelity.

I'm assuming there are running jokes about her partner, and that just came across as him joking that United were the first thing that popped into her head when loyalty was mentioned. You can see from the stupid grin after, and him trying to explain that he realised it's bombed. I don't think he'd have reacted that way if it was a genuine dig about infidelity.

He does need to be fired.

That's so totally unrelated to football and totally unprofessional.

Are they trying to get more people to watch and play football or make it the European Jerry Springer show?
