Jamie Carragher

My routine is usually watch the match. Avoid half time by doing a chore like the washing up and watching 2nd half.

Cannot be arsed with all the dumbing down of the audiences to soundbites manipulated on social media.
I find the half time break is really useful for household chores. You know it’s a small time window and I’m more productive as a result.

All you miss is 12 mins of adverts and 3 minutes of benign chat about a potential push 5 mins before a goal is scored.

I’m surprised that anybody over 30 watches any output the sports channels put out these days.
It’s all pantomime.
Made for the social media age and only serving to create clicks and engagement.
The football on the pitch might just be the best it’s ever been.
The coverage off the pitch is definitely the worst it’s ever been.
Also, there is so much better tactical analysis on podcasts and social media these days.

Sky’s drivel is only worth watching if the rags have lost and Keane and Neville have a competition to see who’s voice can go higher.

I dunno. If I wasn’t told at half time that the underdogs just need “to stay in the game for as long as possible,” I think I’d struggle to know what was going on in the second half.

True and if it doesn’t improve soon, I’m sure the manager will look to make some substitutions.

(Obviously not Pep though.)

I lost the sound a few weeks ago. I thought this guy was really unlucky when he blasted the ball about six foot over the bar from two yards.

Luckily it was fixed for the highlights later and I found out that actually “He should have done better there.”

Similar to a player collapsing in a heap always “looks like a sore one”, despite minimal contact.
