SambaBoys said:(Jamie Foxx) On his Sirius radio show on Sunday night, after a listener called in to talk about the incident, Foxx went on a curse-filled tirade after semi-sarcastically posing the question "Who is Miley Cyrus?" He then went on to describe her as the girl "with all the gums" and wondered if she was the one with the gum transplant.
He continued, "She's going to ruin Radiohead's career? The same Radiohead that gets paid a million dollars just to sample their song? That Radiohead?" A bunch of his guests on the show were also getting into the act, laughing at Foxx's comments and name-calling the Disney star. The group also called Cyrus a "little white b----."
Foxx then went on to compare Cyrus to other former teen queens, saying that Cyrus should do drugs like Britney Spears, become a lesbian like Lindsay Lohan, make a sex tape and "grow up." Cyrus is known to ride around her neighborhood on a bicycle, and Foxx also suggested that she "catch Chlamydia on a bicycle seat."

However, Jamie Foxx isn't crying out that 'We should burn all de Whiteys on a burning cross and by the way, what holocaust??!!', is he? No. All he's saying that Jackson was one of their own, first and that gift was shared to the world.
What's racist about that??
I don't think MJ ever proclaimed to be "Black first, worldwide entertainer second". Isn't the fact that Foxx himself feels the need to distingush people by thier race, itself, racist/elitist behaviour?
Being Pro Black/White/Whatever as we've agreed there perhaps isn't an issue; however its surely an oxymoron? By holding more relevence of important to one race of another is to demolish many values of 'equality'.
I guess the thin line is drawn between keeping a sense of identity, history and cultural values. But, if we want everyone to truely be considered "equal" theres an arguement for needing to throw all those norms and values away and starting again, everybody, from scratch, without preconception.

Sounds like a nice guy.

SambaBoys said:Both were relevant events at the time…….. The issue I have is that none of the above were mentioned when he was looking for erratic behaviour from young “stars†in America!
Considering the Chris Brown story was on of the biggest at the time…I cant understand why this wasn’t mentioned………

If I started a thread on Bluemoon with this as the title I would be ripped apart! I personally don't think this is racist but the way the world is now right or wrong I don't think that this is the sort of thing that can be said and be acceptable.
