Quite a few small time, little old City comments on this thread.
Correct
One word for it jealousy
Am not even a big fan of his place in town, but the lad has done a hell of a lot for school meals, and just seems a decent guy.

A top bloke who has actually made something of his life and given hundreds of kids an opportunity to work in the industry.

It's a great move by City as he fits in with their profile of giving the disadvantaged a chance to improve and better themselves.

Oliver is a very clever businessman. He does not profess to Ramsey, Atherton, Wareing.

But whilst all those guys are brilliant chefs, Jamie is counting the dollars.

He has a truck at Euston doing food and if that is anything to go by, us Blues are getting a very good upgrade indeed.

Pukka, as Jamie would say.

This. All day.

Don't get the hate for him at all. Yes, he has an unfortunate manner about him, but unlike other young millionaires he has actively tried to make a difference to others' lives, people to whom life has been less fortunate than himself.

I have a few chefs as personal friends and they all hold him in much higher regard than most of his peers on TV.

I paid £6 on Saturday for fish and chips ( I assume it was goldfish given the size of the portion) and was left wholly unsatisfied by the experience.

This is another piece in the jigsaw of moving this club forward on all fronts to become a truly global presence in the game. I realise some of our supporters miss the Greenall Whitley and Waggon Wheels of yesteryear, but I'm more of a 21st century man myself.

You can't please all the people, all the time. The people hate his cheeky chap character...it's because of it that he now worth best part of £50m.

He's been working in kitchens since he was eight and must have tremendous drive to be where he is already at the age of 37.

I do wonder how people can eat anything at most grounds. Expensive it might be, but it's just cheap slop best left to prisons.

the first day jamies restaurant in manchester opened me, my wife and daughter went for lunch, which was i have to say very nice.

unfortunately my wife and daughter have been since and found the food to be very disappointing on two seperate occasions. also a few friends have had bad experiences at jamies, let hope he gets his act together and doesnt take his eye off the ball like he has in the manchester restaurant.

I have been the once order a fish dish which was served swimming in a bland white wine sauce. Looked more like a soup. Mentioned it in passing to the waitress who sent over floor manager who went in kitchen came back apologised and proceeded to knock it off the bill. As I thought one good turn deserved another I gave the waitress an extra £20 on top of the tip. But then again that’s the way I roll.

I can imagine that prison food is much better - Although haven't got personal experience I hasten to add

Jamie Oliver isn't bad, seems like a caring type ultimately. He may talk b***ocks half the time, but at least he has beliefs, passion and a drive to change things. Oliver for Prime Minister.

Well lets hope they use a different agency to recruit the staff to work the food/drink outlets. It may help if they pay them a decent wage and perhaps they may get a better calibre of person.

Jamie Oliver should never be forgiven for his campaign to rid the country of Turkey Twizzlers. Cannot get them anywhere thanks to that tw*t.

Forza Chef Ramsey.
