Jamie Redknapp, Last Season, Title

Inappropriate to single out Mario in the Arsenal game when the whole team was poor and we looked anything but potential champions. He made a decent contribution to the title winning season (the breakthrough goal v Everton at home, the goal that got us back in the game v Sunderland at home, the assist to Aguero v QPR to name a few things) as did the rest of the squad. This season has been a disaster for him however, the awful performance v United and the subsequent unprofessional attitude in training means he is unlikely to start at the moment. Redknapp has a particular dislike for Balotelli - that much is clear - and does nothing to hide it in his media appearances.

Is this the most ridiculous thing you've ever heard?

"He was sent off for Manchester City at Arsenal and betrayed his team-mates with an outrageous act of petulance," explained Redknapp in the Daily Mail. "If Manchester United had gone about their business in their normal professional manner, that would have been the single most significant moment that cost Manchester City the title. Instead, he is a champion - thanks mainly to the efforts of his team-mates while he was suspended"

Regardless of where you stand with regards to the particular player. A sending off in the 90th minute of a game that was essentially over could not be something anyone could possibly believe was costly.

The argument that we were better without him in a way contradicts his argument.

Redknapp surely the most clueless pundit out there. Even Hansen knocks him into the shade.

Redknapp is a clueless fuckwit who has, for whatever reason, had a bee in his bonnet about Balotelli since the moment we signed him. His rant about him at half-time during the derby was particularly embarrassing.

As someone else has said, he's employed by Sky to look pretty for the housewives - i.e. not because he has anything remotely interesting or insightful to say, but rather despite his staggering inability to do so.

I must be one of the few that doesn't reall have a problem with Redknapp Jr. I think his old man is a typical cockney wide boy but Jr deosn't seem to be particularly unreasonable. He is critical of Mario but this seems to be an fair assesment of what he does on the pitch, frankly his contribution is not what it should be considering the talent he has. There are many more pundits who wind me up a lot more than Redknapp.

The way Jamie Redknapp claimed it was paramount for England to take Wayne Rooney to EURO 2012 after berating Balotelli for his immaturity and irresponsibility on the pitch sums up why I just cant take him seriously at all.

Redknapp is a nob. He's had a problem with balotelli since he got here and takes every opportunity to slag him off. It makes me cringe. Almost as much as his constant arse licking of Silva and Mata as if by identifying these 2 as good players it makes him look intelligent. When people like Ruud Gullit are on with him he just embarrasses himself. I can't take him or his opinions seriously, he winds me up almost as much as Irani. I dont understand how an ex footballer can know next to nothing about the game

Let's have it right, pretty Jamie is there to attract bored housewives to watch the footy.

And I am so sick and tired of hearing that this match or that match decided the title particularly re the Everton comeback

City 3 QPR 2 decided the title

Every game for every team decided the title! Take out the EFC draw (thank you Toffees) and the Wigan victory (get in you pie-eaters) we have no title. Take out all the pens and associated oppo sendings off, MANUre would not have gone into the last game with a sniff of a title.
