January sales/buys who would be yours?

seeing a common ground here. a center midfield, a versatile forward/winger. I could think of:

Forward/winger:

Ronaldo
Torres (not as versatile in wing but looks disconnected from dippers)

CM:

Bale (technically a wide player)
Gerrard
Schweinsteiger
Kranjcar (unsettled in spuds, tho arguably mid table player?)

I for one would go for Schweinsteiger.

The smart money seems to be on a striker coming and I would be surprised if at least one of Jo,Cruz or Ade left. SWP should be on his way too as he is no longer wanted. Can't see Spurs selling Bale and Nando won't come here from Liverpool, Dzeko looks determined to go to Juve, so who? I'm really scratching my head on this one, could it be possible we go for an old campaigner just as a stopgap? I wouldn't be surprised to see somebody like Forlan signed on a short but highly lucrative contract.

Ibrahimovic!

I'd like to see us off-load quite a few, but Christ knows who will take the wages on. It'll be interesting to see how many are happy to move for less wages, but be guaranteed a starting place. SWP could do a job for someone, Jo I think is in the same category. RSC is going to be lucky if anyone will take him on given his injury record.

In - Dzeko or Torres or Carroll
NZogbia or Jarvis
Boswinga
Krancaer or Parker or Dempsey

Out - SWP
Bridge
Jo
Richards
Lescott
Logan
Etuhu
Mee

and a good few loans

Jarvis is a good shout though I think he plays like Milner. So though a good player, we've got someone similar whom I would class as better.

I know we have the cash but the thing is Dzeko seems to prefer Juve over everything and Juve is very keen. But I wouldn't rule out us as a possibility.

Thing about Mario is to me he is still quite immature and rather volatile. And judging from our recent performances, I find his job on the team is very crucial, maybe an alternative to him would benefit us.

I'm still out of ideas about a creative central midfielder who is avaliable, any ideas?

Fabregas would be ideal, but he's not leaving Arsenal for another English team.

January should be interesting, because I wouldn't expect us to be hanging around.

Yep I'm excited about the next Jan window, I think Mancio will give us some surprise.

-- Sat Nov 13, 2010 2:17 am --

Ronaldo defo impossible (and I hate him), was thinking somewhere along the lines of Jovetic and Hazard as probable siginings.

Schwein seems a good call, versatile enough for Mancio's liking. And I for one, wouldn't mind Kranjcar.
