sneijder + villa must be priority

Old and injury prone players on BIG contracts who we have to pay £150,000/week+ to until they're 34/35 must not be a priority! That basically takes us back in time, if we need to sign "big names" we can do without being reckless. Aguero and Silva are the perfect templates for a "big name signing", equivalents today if available might be Jovetic/Falcao/Neymar and Fabregas/Busquets/Gotze. All young or youngish, healthy, and offering years of service to whoever signs them (if they are available).

Just look at Maicon, he falls under a similar category as those two though his decline is more advanced. Sneijder has not completed more than 26 league games in any of the last 4 seasons because of his knees, he has a history of missing half a season or more. Villa is good but do we give a 3 year contract to a near 32 year old, meaning we inevitably have the same old problems of a player no longer good enough when he's 34/35 who we can't get rid of because of his wages?

If you mean struggles with injuries with no chance of any resale value then yes

Out (against what's being said) = Ballotelli (even on loan)

Lescott stays (thankfully, hopefully)

In. = Isco
= Paulinho or Villa

50/50 = Shawcross

Dream = Falcao (however I see this is a top summer target)

Shawcross, no thanks.

Remember before the FA cup final he was mouthing off about how he's a lifelong United fan so he would like to stop us winning especially. Took extra joy seeing him nearly in tears after the game.

I'm not saying I would want him, the OP ask for predictions and those are mine and as it looks like Shawcross will be in the January market place then he would fill the gaps for us.

bonkers, absolute bonkers talk

His injury record is not a secret. Buying him was a massive gamble that we didn't need to take. It will be the end of the season before we see if fergies gamble has paid off.

you suggest pope a 27 year old from 2 division port vale could replace balotelli And you think I'm bonkers.
