Wolfsburg have got a real good team, on paper at least, and will be fighting for a CL spot if not the Bungesliga. They will not transfer their star player midseason. Same goes for Luiz. Two very unrealistic targets for a January window.

Maybe not top 2 but certainly top 4 - that is provided we can get Boateng in the team at RB asap ;)
Agree with the overall point, but do we city fans have to keep going on about how much we've spent? (other teams fans can do that for us) We all know its a false argument mentioning how much we've spent because it wouldnt cost any other club the same amounts to buy the same players - it's only cost so much because of the unique position we are in in the transfer marketplace. Just annoys me when articles start making points about our club by quoting prices which arent comparable to any other club - it makes it pointless IMO

We are not at a level that we can challenge on all 5 fronts at the moment. We have the squad but not a cohesive unit.

Totally agree, top 4 is the very minimum, and I'd say that top 2 is the realistic target, we have the best squad in depth, so it would be failure to not be at the very worst 4th.
That said I hope we don't bring in anyone in January, unless its an emergency.

If you want to discount any of the domestic cups yes. We have not been in this kind of position for a number of years. Chelsea and United have been doing it for years.
