And if a new manager is coming in we want them to have money to spend on the players they want. Would still like to see a defender replace Demi as a backup. A loan would do. Would even more prefer recalling Denny but that doesn't see possible.
Well to be honest, Pep is coming and I'd imagine that we're already in talks with him and new potential signings to get them done for the summer, hence the links to Sane, Gundogan and Laporte

Good point. Not counting my Pep chickens but looking forward to an exciting Summer transfer window if he does come.

Johnson? might not have been world class but made a difference in games and sold on for a profit.
Paddy V? his legs might have gone but he was a born winner.
De Jong? slightly overpriced but the best football we played was when De Jong and Barry played together, allowing Yaya and Silva to get the ball in the vital areas. Now I may be in the minority regarding Toure's position these days.

I'd probably add Bellamy and Given to that list - they gave us what we needed when we needed it albeit not for very long. Also, Empenza was bought in Jan if I remember correctly??
I could see us buying a striker out of necessity. Bony's (and aguero's to some extent) under performance and pellegrini's reluctance to trust in kelechi has meant the gamble we took on one less striker hasn't panned out for us. Not sure who it will be but I think we'll do it. Also could see us signing Isco in Jan just to make sure we get him. Pre-emptive replacement for Nasri I'd imagine

Just signing Isco would be perfect for me and it would allow players some rest in the attacking positions also he is unable to play in the champ league so would be less pressure for dropping him.
Someone would have to leave for that to happen though!

This would also allow us to put Kelechi in the champions league squad and keep Nasri in it.
