Denayer been progressing excellently so far - what a talent.
He's quick and is so comfortable on possession, similiar to Chambers at Arsenal at the moment IMO. A real modern defender.
He's not the tallest and does need to bulk up (as do 90% of teenager footballers), but he is good in the air and competes very well.
I think he will make it at City, he has the potential to be brilliant and looks to have a great attitude.

A little rusty in the first half trying to hit target men up the field, but was a rock in the 2nd. If you can find a replay watch the 2nd half - he really shined. A coupla final whistle comments from a Celtic forum on their match thread:
"Denayer is class missed him so much"
"Having denayer back is vital. The **** is so solid at the back, he's goin to be a cracking player. "

He's an absolute no brainer for the first team squad next year in my opinion. He could do us a job absolutely anywhere in defence and midfield. Tenacious, intelligent, nippy and great on the ball - cant really ask for much more than that can we?

Wonderful to hear.....I was only just wondering how he was doing.....
Id like to think,even though he could probably be our 4th,maybe even 3rd,choice next season,another loan where he is guaranteed regular football would be of greater benefit imo.I'm thinking a lower end Prem club could accommodate him.

Apparently MP asked him to cut his loan short earlier in the season and return to City but he didn't want to come and sit on the bench.

Why would he ask him back when he would of been behind Vinnie, MDM and Mangala possibly Boyata as well.
