He's an absolute no brainer for the first team squad next year in my opinion. He could do us a job absolutely anywhere in defence and midfield. Tenacious, intelligent, nippy and great on the ball - cant really ask for much more than that can we?

As good a prospect as Barker imo. Just a case of which position he ends up playing.

I think he is better playing at centre half at the moment.

Had a great game today and gets tight on his man.

I would like to see him stay with Celtic next season, or go on a season loan to a Premier league team.

I think it would be better for him and us ig he plays more regularly.

While I agree with your comments about his talents, I can't agree with the view that he should return and become a squad player next season. He is only 19 and needs to be playing regularly. For me he should stay out on loan again next season. It doesn't necessarily have to be with Celtic, but he is still learning the game and the more he plays the better.

In terms of position, I think he could easily do the job that Fernando is doing as a DM. My only slight doubt as a central defender is his size and whether he would match up in the prem physically.

Agreed. As things stand now, Demichelis is still a big asset for this team and I think his contract should be extended by a year. When it expires in 2016, Denayer might just step in.

Having seen this lad a few times now, I think he has all the raw attributes to play in the pivot for us, in a similar style to Busquets or Javi Martinez. I'd like to see him picked in there so he can learn the role tactically.

Don't think there will be anything new to be learned by him plying his trade in Scotland for another year. We'd be better served farming him out to someone like Swansea or Palace.

How old was the Arsenal back yesterday..ahh yes 19 !
