Any Celtic fan here or someone who know how they stand in terms of CB position?

If he'll play regularly, then yeah, that's a great move, especially as Celtic (with a bit of luck :D) will surely play either in EL/CL group stage.

The situation as it stands now is that we have 2 first team cbs, Ambrose and Van Dijk. Van Dijk will potentially leave before the window closes leaving us with Ambrose and Mulgrew (Plays everywhere). As I mentioned in my previous post I assume the only way celtic got him on loan is that we said that he will play games. If he really is any good and he gets his chances I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the 1st team soon enough.

Really hope he gets game time if Van Dijk doesn't move he could find if hard to dislodge either Ambrose or Mulgrew to get a starting spot.

Big move for the lad.

Looks like he's been given assurances he'll play regularly.

Celtic are a big club (60,000 attendances) and I know the SPL isn't the greatest standard, but being at a club where you have to win every week is a massive challenge.

Good luck to Denayer - I think he'll impress. Really talented young centre back.

Just had a look on Talkceltic and the fuckers arn't to pleased because there's no option to buy, lol, they don't know there place in world football. Some are alright though and se the benifits with a link up with city.

I think they're right,a 40m option should definitely have been inserted.

would that be £943.000 in cash and £39 057.000 in haggis and flutes.

And a box of their world famous half and half scarves.

Seems a good move on the face of it! Hopefully he'll get sonr game time and I can get a decent look at him cos I've never seen him play

Deila is putting a lot of pressure on him before he has kicked a ball, is he taking into account this is Jason's first experience of proper first team football?

I just looked up Ronny Deila and it looks like he is using his relationship with City because he took Mohammed Abu, Enock Kwakwa and Abdisalam Ibrahim off us to go to his previous side, Strømsgodset.

Celtic boss Ronny Deila on City loanee Jason Denayer: "Jason is going to be worth a lot of money. He is already worth a lot, maybe £10m."
