Deila is putting a lot of pressure on him before he has kicked a ball, is he taking into account this is Jason's first experience of proper first team football?

I just looked up Ronny Deila and it looks like he is using his relationship with City because he took Mohammed Abu, Enock Kwakwa and Abdisalam Ibrahim off us to go to his previous side, Strømsgodset.

Celtic boss Ronny Deila on City loanee Jason Denayer: "Jason is going to be worth a lot of money. He is already worth a lot, maybe £10m."
I agree Sam. You could see in his appearances on the US tour that he has a tremendous talent, but at the same time he strikes me as being very raw. I think it was an unnecessary comment by the Manager and increases the expectations from the fans, as well as applying pressure on Jason to live up to the tag.

Let's hope he is given the chance to slowly develop, and that any errors are kept in perspective.

I like it when players have pressure in them especially at a young age, you see what they are made of and there mentality

Think those comments are forced in order to appease the fans. Celtic were dreadful in their CL knockout games and they've not signed anyone decent. The fans want them to overachieve in the CL but instead they look even more woeful than we all know they are. If he talks Denayer up then it might satisfy their fans moaning about the lack of quality signings. Think he will get good experience there, if it is only in the form of realising how wank the Scottish league is and gives him the ambition to play anywhere other than there!

I can see Denayer partnering Van Dijk at the back. Ambrose is a liability and he's also not that good. He is in the squad for their game against St Johnstone tonight and could possibly start the first leg of the Maribor qualifier as Ambrose is suspended.
