Javi Garcia about city,Mancini and Pellegrini

A really bizarre comparison.

As a Mancunian, I may be biased, but how could there be more 'to do' in St Petersburgh. Oh, and before he slags our city some more, someone over there could remind him which city it is twinned with and the reason why. I think that they've heard of the siege of Leningrad up there.

So I'll give him one back. Been to Madrid and Lisbon and they are mostly dumps with nothing to do in. I have also lived in Andalucia [next to Murcia]. Not exactly a cosmopolitan cultural hotspot of the world. Couldn't wait to leave that boring place.

I've not been to St Petersburgh but, beyond the Winter Palace, what the fuck is there to see anyway? So let's see how great his wife and kids find it. 'Kin ingrate...

Rant over.

Eh? Madrid is a beautiful city, very rare you find yourself in a dump, unlike it's friend Barcelona which very much is dumpstervile. And Andalucia boring? Sevilla, Cordoba, Cadiz, Malaga (the city not the beaches), Granada etc. It's a stunning part of the world. Had you said Murcia I might have agreed, although Cartagena is a lovely little place. Murcia city is a bit of a dive mind.

I've been thinking of Garcia a bit recently as to me we have just replaced his carbon copy in Fernando.

Why on earth are people mentioning that Madrid or Lisbon have some ropey areas? Do you honestly believe millionaire footballers are wandering around looking for £1 pints? He's not some tourist wandering around staying in youth hostels! He'll be in the nicest areas and it's not particularly hard to believe that Madrid, Lisbon and St. Petersberg are much better set up for millionaires than Manchester is, given the amount of super wealthy that live in the cities.

Forgot Manchester is the centre of the cultural universe there are some right precious people on here

Yes I am and, no, I don't have time to bum around on beaches or look at old buildings. For functionality and entertainment, Manchester beats them all.

I know. Some posters even get upset at a constructive précis of the drinking establishments in their locale ;-)

Don't mind an accurate précis but inaccurate ones make me precious -:)

If you think the Quilted Camel is very "New York" in its design and drinks offer then fair enough, I guess ;-)
