I don't think he did much wrong today.

He was fantastic,won us the game...didn't put a foot wrong,changed the game,dominated the play,made it look easy,sweated blood?

You mean like that time we said it about De Jong last season or Khedira for Real, Busquets for Barca, Mikel for Chelsea and so on.

People are expecting way too much of Garcia, he is an out and out defensive midfielder not some box to box machine like De Rossi who will score and create as well as doing a fine defensive job.

The sooner people realise that his job is win the ball in midfield and move it forward quickly as well as scoring the odd goal and winning defensive headers and not do 40yrd runs taking on players and bang goals in the better.

It does when he's embedding himself in the team. He was the width of the post away from winning us the game at Stoke.

Im sorry but Garcia just isn't good enough to be in this squad. He's a downgrade from NDJ. He's just mediocre at at everything he does. He just isn't a talented footballer. No pace, not really very strong, not creative, not particularly tenacious or aggressive... I just don't see why we bought this guy. Very poor buy in my opinion. Why the fucking hell we didnt go for Dembele is beyond me! The only good purchase of the transfer window was Nastasic!

he's looked ok recently.

he's becoming a more solid performer.

he's going to be worth the 16mil pound, hes just defensive midfielder who can break up play but pass it better than de jong.

it's not particular players that are the problem, it's the tactics and tempo.

we either go long ball to two midgets or pass it slowly. we should pass along the floor with speed and purpose.
