I just think this discussion about whether he's at the standard of the rest of the team is harsh when in his proper fully fit run in the team we haven't conceded a goal. He is starting to absolutely dominate the whole centre of the park, would deserve a listing in player of the month, aerially he is possibly the best in the league, yet apparently not good enough to be in the team.

Fwiw I think he is better than de jong and I'm pretty sure the statistics would prove it.

I'm willing to bet if it goes back to being just Yaya and Barry covering we will get carved open like the start of the season

Well, he was certainly the dominant force in midfield out on the park today. Stoke never got a sniff. Terrible start to his City career, but he's getting better by the week. Up there with Zab and the Boy David for MotM honours for me this afternoon

I think Garcia has been improving game after game. This recent run has helped him no doubt.

We can't afford to buy world class players in every position, FFP-wise. We have yet to fall off a cliff and Mancini can make good players into better ones. Isn't that what the Rags say-they "make" players?
As for the bold, what do you think of Nasri (and I like him btw but I guess I'm more patient)

i used to like nasri and thought he would come good...now i think hes a twat and why is he still in love with arsenal?...i would get rid of nasri to psg or some team and replace with a player similar to silva

That implies time or chances and for a player who had experience in PL already.
In half a season, Garcia 2 goals-De Jong 1 in the 3 seasons he was with City. With him, Kompany and Zaba, our defense keeps our opposition just as busy as our strikers in the box (thank god b/c our finishing...)
I just think it's too early to write off a new player like Garcia. Let's see at season's end.

Why are you lot still arguing with CyprusTavern? He's standing by his viewpoint, that Garcia isn't that special, because he wants to show that he's correct. And I suppose he is, I mean, Garcia hasn't been improving game by game and hasn't taken control of our midfield during our best run of form this season and doesn't look to be the cover for Yaya we never had in De Jong at all. In fact, I'd say he's worse than Rodwell and we should have signed Messi to play there instead. I mean, we could definitely afford him with all of the money we've got.
