Stop quoting yourself to back up an argument only you seem to be making.

We've all woken up to the idea that Javi Garcia might actually be a good player now that he's had a run in the side (which was all he needed). Some people woke up months ago and asked for those that hadn't woken up yet to bide their time with him, and it appears the patience of those people is being rewarded with some fine displays (away from home too, might I add).

you have woken up to what? the fact that you know rate garcia as a european standard midfielder? and the fact that a lot of characters on here try and attack people for speakin their minds ...? big difference between being a troll and wanting the best for your team that you was born into....i come into the latter catargory (sic) so leave out all your big bollox it doesnt impress me if i want to critic a player i will ...and have done , i have backed my observations under attacks from sheep and i stand by it xx

Stop it. You're hiding behind the "It was just my opinion, stop getting so angry!" line that's wheeled out as the last line of defence. Stop it. You might want what's best for the team but your argument is going be disagreed with because you're being too harsh on a player that's in a good run of form and showing us what he can do.

And don't call us 'Sheep' either. Said 'attacks' from said 'Sheep' won't stop any time soon if you carry on.

What is he actually bad at that a defensive midfielder should be good at? How should we be looking to improve on him?

On great form for us and loved the way he put his body about today and used his strength to gain possession quite frequently. Held off big bastard Kenwyne Jones a few times too, no mean feat in itself. And the person saying he doesn't have a pair of bollocks or passing ability is either on the wum or just an idiot who only likes players who score goals and can cover 100 metres in 11 seconds.

The reasons you have given for not rating Garcia are utter bollocks IMO. You keep saying he will never dominate a midfield in Europe and he is not good enough to take us to the next level.

Barry and Milner have never dominated a midfield in Europe and that is because they are not that type of midfielder. Barry, Milner and Garcia are TEAM players and not individual players and they all have their own influence on our team.

Garcia is a much better player than De Jong, Garcia is a lot more of a goal threat and already he is looking as a key member of our team. Our defence looks a lot better with him in the team. However perhaps when Garcia makes a few crunching challenges he might be hailed as the new DDR.

Pace - name a fast defensive midfielder?
Bollocks - took a leg breaking tackle with more than shrug. A shrinking violet wouldn't absolutely dominate aerially would they?
Passing - 96% accuracy across the season.

To sum up - I think he does what he is instructed to do very very well plus a goal threat and some organisational/ leadership ability.
