Javi Garcia

but i dont understand the obsession with NDJ,

I dont get it either. He chose to leave, we got some of his best years out of him but if last season is anything to go by he was a fading force.

Garcia is young, in a new country, with a new team and im confident he will prove to be a decent signing.

I dont think he was 100% fit the other night, but because of our injuries and Mancini's desire to play Yaya further forward he risked him as basically we had nobody else. The fact Meppen-Walter was on the bench shows how short of numbers we are at the moment.

Honestly, I don't see the reason for all the criticism of Garcia. He seems to have potential and has come from a much softer league in Portugal. I seem to remember Yaya, Silva et al taking a while to get going when they first arrived. Plus every time I've seen him he looks decent (Madrid, Stoke, Ajax) I think he needs more time.

he needs time to bed in. can remember gillingham away 1998 and shaun goater getting jeered everytime he touched the ball. some people want/expect instant success. complete clowns.

He's been anonymous most of the time but not in a way that makes me think he's a bad player but maybe just getting used to everything in a new league. Thought his best game was at Fulham strong in the challenge and used the ball well, hopefully the type of performance he can produce regularly.

Also thought he was great at Fulham, come on guys he's a new player/injuries give him a fuckin' break he is gonna be massive for us...

I to think it was a shame Nigel wasn't given an improved contract and more games last season/but having said that he's long gone now and won't be coming back.
Apparently he was asking for a lot more than what City were willing to give, parity with the highest earners from our club, so I've heard. In that sense, i doubt he wanted to stay.

I remember when City fan's were renowned for the self deprecating sense of humour.

And that is being kept by the true fans. Give him time, I have a feeling he will be pivotal by the end of the season.

Good player but not made the impact i'd wished for. Sloppy passing, and the odd good tackle - the only good positive is the fact he's scored.

I'm sure after time all will be good, give it 'till jan.

He is bypassed in midfield too easily. He doesn't offer the protection to the back 4 that I'd needed.....every game he had played so far the opposition midfielders stride past him and then the two centre halves have a huge space on front of them with opposition players running at them.

Is play a defensive 2 of Barry and Milner over him at present....maybe he isn't upto speed yet. I'm hoping this is what it is or we have bought a complete dud if not

Exactly this, the obsession with Nige is pathetic.
