I think it's a bit harsh calling him shit, He's only been with us not even 5 months adapting to a new league and a new formation that he was playing at with Benfica. I know (mancini's style of play) has nothing to do with his first touch or his passing, It should be a hell of a lot better it's clear to see! But most people are jumping on his back to quick, There are a number of players that came into the Premier League from a different league and got slated but yet turned out to be good signings. Give the lad a break.

So his excellent performance away to Stoke and assured cameo against Madrid as little as two weeks ago didn't happen?

'assured cameo' what the hell does that mean??? 45 mins against madrid and i can't remember him doing anything spectacular. he's garbage, theres no 2 ways about it

This video does not really show Javi's influence. As shown, he is a great presence in the air, offensively and defensively, but his physical dominance and aggression are tremendous. He's also very tactically disciplined. But probably his best feature is his will to win. He gave his heart to Benfica. These attributes are sometimes difficult to display in a you tube video.

You don't have to do anything spectacular to play well.

He came on and gave us some much needed composure and allowed Silva to slip further into the free role.
