I'm a bit baffled by the perceived need for a CB. We have VK, Stones, Otamendi, and Tosin. VK may not get injured, Stones will improve, Otamendi has started to be more disciplined, and Tosin has bags of potential. With decent FBS to cover and a new keeper to add confidence to the defence, we will be OK. Add Kolarov if things go awry, what's the need? Ensure we get the FBS, I say, even if Levi holds us to ransom

And it is contrary to that what Pep promised a year ago, or? The Thiago story was different as he did not get playing time, had a clause to leave because of that and did not get any hope that it would change in nearer future.
Sane and B. Silva sub? No chanceI think this is a good move on our part as long as the fee isn't astronomical and he avoids injury. It let's us have more attacking minded players on the bench if our centre half can fit in seamlessly in midfield too. Could have something like this as a match day squad next season:

This morning another twitter account reported that Martinez is coming. I think it's extremely unlikely we'll buy Martinez.
There seems to be a pretty vocal number who think he might struggle with the pace of the PL, of course you've seen much more him than us, what do you think?
Has he been mainly used as a centre back at Bayern? What would your analysis be of his strengths and weaknesses and do you think he's capable of playing at the DM in a 433? Thanks.

Nah.. we've clung on far longer to much less in the past. Transfer season is my favorite and most hated time.

Fabinho is on 160 pages and we've never even been in for him. The sign of any transfer brings everyone out.
