However, yesterday and despite obviously being an Arsenal fan, he was effusive in his praise for City.

I agree with you there. His jokes were boring and his dramatic voice from around 4.30pm bored me to death. Mind you, I have watched him for years so he may well have toned all that down. I switched off because of his over the top nonsense.
