He fails the being a dick test though.Hakimi is a cross between Couto and Frimpong. So we can have Couto and Frimpong in one player, which is Hakimi.

Ok so this makes a bit of sense to how we have played this season, except that Gvardiol has been that outlet. Maybe we get Frimpong and some games the 3 cb's include Gvardiol or Ake at left back, allowing Frimpong to get high or inside.he basically is like defensive winger, this season mainly marauders on the right side to exploit weakneses with his insane pace, can go inside and outside, very hard to defend against him. Something we haven't had since Ben Mendy maybe. Frimpong defensive input is very hard to say, bcs in Alonso system he has given the license to roam further and be covered by 3 cb's at the back 2 defensive midfielder in Xhaka and Palacios helping out, thus for me he is defensive winger.
Couto is more of playmaking fullback, something a la Cancelo with smaller frame, who is great at build-up and assists and generally poor in defense.
All depends on what Pep wants to do next season, there has been chatter that Pep wants to try a 3-5-2 system again.

We tried it a bit at Spurs with Walker going forwards but he just doesn't have the end product. Making more sense the more i think about this transfer as another option.Been thinking the same thing, especially if Bernie goes and Foden takes that spot on the right but with him floating inside and Frimpong on the overlap.
Nonsense...Maybe but he would need to because our goals against would be huge with Frimpong at FB.
Is this going to end up as a bidding war? If the rags are bidding we aren't winning it.

He's also hugely overratedHe fails the being a dick test though.
40 mil Euro apparentlyHe has a release clause
we need a RB, RW, Attacking mid this summer right?
Only exciting if Pep wants a mainly attacking fullback. If he does all good, not quite sure he does though myself.pls make it happen txiki, most exciting transfer to me for sure

I have no opinion either way really. However Pep wants to play, and with whichever players, is fine by me. I’d be surprised if Frimpong is a Pep target, but it wouldn’t be the first time Pep has surprised me.;)the option would be nice?
That’s my thinking too. Not as defensively sound as Walker but arguably beats him for pace and technical ability. Would be strange to me to go from deploying defensive full backs and centre backs there to arguably the best attacking full back in Europe this season.Only exciting if Pep wants a mainly attacking fullback.
