We've got the best medical department in the world theyl be looking at that and hopefully have a plan for how to manage him. I have total confidence in the club to identify the right player!
Wasn't there misgivings among some of our fans about signing Haaland, due to his injury history? He hasn't missed too many games since signing for us.

The highest level Borges has ever played at has been the EDS or the U21 Euros(in which he really struggled to impose himself)... So yes, Doku is better than him...
ok but at 19 years old Doku struggled to get game time at Rennes..more experience doesn`t mean more talent..the jury is still out for Borges...let`s see how he does at Ajax

Time to dispel some myths. Here are his stats last season.

1. He essentially doubled his non-penalty xG, so to say he isn't a good finisher is very wrong, he hits the ball well.

He has 0.19 Goals/Shot which in our team, only Haaland has a better conversion ratio.

2. His xAG of 0.41 is world class and is up there with the elites of the world.

3. 5.66 Shot Creating Actions is also VERY high, stupidly so for a 20 year old. Most come from passing as expected, but alot also come from dribbling as well. Speaking of...

4. 6.61 successful take-ons is also basically up there as one of the best in the world.

One of the arguments is.... well it's just the French league, and those people also fail to realize all these numbers were produced by a 20 year old. He can and should get better, if he can re-produce these for City in the prem over time, we got a dynamite of a player.

Whether we actually get him or not is separate, but he’s quality and very different to Sterling who was quite one dimensional. Wouldn’t solely judge him off numbers. The concerns regarding injury are fair, but I’m confident that’s something we’ll be looking into as well. As for the French league, some of the best talents are signed from there so means nothing re; numbers there.
how would you rate him compared to Olise?

Borges played in the u19 Euros, it wasn't even for the u21s.

Are you really comparing struggling for a u19 euro team as the same difficulty as struggling for a top 5 european league? Are you daft? It's the difference of kids and men.

Olise is more polished and of a Mahrez ilk. Doku is somewhat of a Hazard one, both are equally raw in terms of what they bring to us, but can improve. The same goes for Bradley Barcola from Lyon, they can be moulded into top players, maybe it’s because I’ve rated Doku for a while so I’m biased, but his ceiling is crazy high, like the times when Sané was performing at his peak.

Coming round to the idea of bringing Doku in. He'd come in not expecting to start, he'd come in on low wages and Rennes should be easy enough to deal with.

Doku gives us something we haven't got, and reading Mbappe's comments about Doku being the the most impressive player he's seen in France for another club, go and get him City! I'll always back our business, we've not been wrong yet!
Yeah, it feels like a slam dunk. Either he kicks on to be a world class player or we pick up most of the money we spend on him in a few years.

Successful take ons - 99. Ridiculous that.

is there any real info that this one is even going to happen?

he looks a very dynamic player and something we have not had out wide since sterling (that raw burst of pace over short distances)..however he is clearly a better striker of a football than sterling ever has been

IBuying such a player would free up the likes of Bernardo and Foden to play in different positions (more centrally) if we need to as well (esp with KDB looking like injuries could start to be an ongoing problem).
