is there any real info that this one is even going to happen?

he looks a very dynamic player and something we have not had out wide since sterling (that raw burst of pace over short distances)..however he is clearly a better striker of a football than sterling ever has been

IBuying such a player would free up the likes of Bernardo and Foden to play in different positions (more centrally) if we need to as well (esp with KDB looking like injuries could start to be an ongoing problem).

There's definitely smoke. Quite a few reliable journos have reported our interest and intent to bid.

Time to dispel some myths. Here are his stats last season.

1. He essentially doubled his non-penalty xG, so to say he isn't a good finisher is very wrong, he hits the ball well.

He has 0.19 Goals/Shot which in our team, only Haaland has a better conversion ratio.

2. His xAG of 0.41 is world class and is up there with the elites of the world.

3. 5.66 Shot Creating Actions is also VERY high, stupidly so for a 20 year old. Most come from passing as expected, but alot also come from dribbling as well. Speaking of...

4. 6.61 successful take-ons is also basically up there as one of the best in the world.

One of the arguments is.... well it's just the French league, and those people also fail to realize all these numbers were produced by a 20 year old. He can and should get better, if he can re-produce these for City in the prem over time, we got a dynamite of a player.
I am sold. I would prefer him over Olise. If he is happy enough not to be a starter, and we can get this deal done relatively cheaply, it's a no-brainer. I hope Kev saw his footballing intelligence and figured he would be a good fit because that's what we need the most, so the players can improve under Pep. Hopefully, he ends up being even better than Sterling or Sane because that's what we need, the very best.

Fantastic breakdown.

Difficult to imagine any professional player being as pathetic as Traore
On his day, Traore was dynamite. I seem to remember him tearing us apart in a game. But he was (at best) a "one in ten" merchant. He had an annoying habit of heading up blind alleys. He's the sort of player that'd drive Pep mental.

I think traore is badly coached but has loads of potential .Under right manager and guidance ,there’s a quality player in him.

we might look for Haaland more with Ederson , we kicked it long a few times against Burnley, having Doku on the wing with his pace and technique that’s a very dangerous weapon against teams, with space in behind. Haalands pace and Doku’s pace will be a nightmare for defences

Problem is though most teams sit 10 back and we need trickery to get past the wall

Interested in signing Doku but more as an impact sub
