Rooting through David Silva's underwear draw....
I've given him quite a bit of stick off here recently, when he's played both RB and LB, but at centre back today he looked totally calm and composed. Definitely his natural position, and felt very comfortable even with him beside Lescott. Stick him with Kompany and watch him flourish I say! Easily the best he's played for us, even I it was against League 1 opposition.

One of the better performers today which wasn't difficult and clearly showed that he is a CB.

The first min of the game he gave a free kick away by going right in the back of someone and i thought bloody hell he's going to be his normal self fouling when the player is going knowhere. However, as the game went on i think he was good in the air and on the floor and played resionably good. hopefully he can get back to playing like in the world cup and put him in with vinny

said that from day one, he's no full back! Too big and stupid centre half all the way

Boeteng hasn't produced the kind of form I expected him to yet. I watched him specifically in the world cup because we'd signed him. He played at left back & looked absolute quality on the ball. So far this season he hasn't got anywhere near what i'd expected, in fact far below it IMO. He should be able to play comfortably in any position across the the back line but sadly looks sluggish & unable to use his 6'4" frame to our advantage. However I'll still cheer him on 100% cause I think he'll come good. Hard to measure today at centre half because of the opposition he was up against. On the other hand Micah had a blinder today apart from rollin over after every tackle, hes made like a fuckin brick but its a timely reminder to Bobby Manc of what hes capable of when hes stood up.

dominant in the air, set up Micah for the goal, looked a tad dodgy on the ground, seemed to be a bit hesistant on a couple of occassions but overall a very solid performance, something I expect more from him and I think he looked much more at home there. Should try that partnership out 2bh, Micah seems to be settling in at RB and Kolarov is looking ever better at LB.
